Mapping Jamaica’s Diaspora (http://www.mapjadiaspora.iom.int) is a project implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

What is the purpose of Mapping Jamaica’s Diaspora?

The mapping exercise will be carried out by members of the Diaspora taking the online survey which is intended to obtain information on the skills that exist in the Diaspora as well as gauge their willingness to contribute to Jamaica’s development. It also seeks to capture the needs, concerns, and issues members of the Diaspora have in their respective locations. The results of the survey will guide the government’s engagement of the Diaspora and strengthen partnerships. Results will also enable the government to determine the availability of skills within the Diaspora relevant to specific industries such as the upcoming logistics hub and creative industries such as animation and mobile application development.

Who is eligible to participate?

Anyone of Jamaican heritage by birth, descent (second, third or fourth generation), marriage, naturalization or registration.
